Now what?
Well, let me give you an idea of the purpose for this blog.
This blog is my personal journal where I will communicate my thoughts and ideas about programming and mathematics. On occasion I will discuss events in my life, but this will be very rare.
Programming is my passion. Once I’m home I’m usually parked in front of the computer writing code, learning some new language so I can write more code or catching up on some reading related to programming so I can write even better code. I am mostly interested in programming language design, functional programming, compilers, operating system design and implementation, network programming, artificial intelligence, computer graphics and web programming. These and other topics will be written about in this blog.
When I’m away from the computer and not programming I’m usually learning and doing mathematics. The mathematics is really there to support my programming addiction, but I also see the beauty in pure mathematics and the value in doing mathematics for its own sake. I love abstractions. It is actually possible to prove, the proof is a bit too large to be included in the margins, that the more abstract the mathematics the more I will want to learn and understand it. Anyway, as I encounter new mathematics and refresh my knowledge of old mathematics I will blog about my challenges and triumphs.
That’s it. Programming. Mathematics. And a little bit of me. With a dash of random brain farts that could be about anything.
